We believe all students can engage and succeed as proficient musicians, regardless of prior knowledge or experience.

We have built a curriculum that combines traditional and progressive teaching methods with an ambitious programme of learning to ensure all students leave year 6 as well rounded musicians with an ability to sing, play instruments, compose and read music.

Our curriculum is based around 4 key concepts: Play, Compose, Listen and Theory. All students will learn to read staff notation and be comfortable with appropriate musical terminology. Students will learn to sing and play instruments confidently and will have experience of listening to high quality recorded music.
